The Beaver Library provides a selective collection of materials; access to a wide range of resources outside of the library; technology to support curriculum needs and growth; instruction and guidance to allow students to become independent users of these resources; professional participation in cooperative associations; a setting where individual, class, and interdisciplinary studies take place.
Our collection includes more than 16,500 books, 50 current magazines and newspapers, a retrospective collection of magazines dating as far back as 1913, an audio/visual collection, maps, and 17 computers.
The Beaver catalog (OPAC) is automated and can be accessed from all computers in the school as well as from home. Students can also access other independent school and public library catalogs. In addition to the its rich print resources, the library subscribes and has access to comprehensive online resources of periodicals, encyclopedias, and reference sources.
Currently there are specific directions for accessing these licensed databases from home. Some require specific addresses and passwords. For information or questions please contact the librarians.
