Student library interns help shelve, straighten, set up displays, reserve books for class instruction, monitor magazine archives and website data. Some library interns have written about their favorite books and these are featured in the Book of the Week on the parent page.
It has become a tradition at BCDS for families to honor students, faculty, and family members or to commemorate other important events and special occasions through our ongoing Birthday and Gift Book Program overseen by a parent volunteer. These gifts enrich the Library's collection and provide a thoughtful and memorable way to acknowledge a special person or event. As a lasting tribute, a presentation bookplate is placed in each volume purchased. To assist in the selection, the librarians provide a "wish list" from which to choose.
