BCDS, like many independent schools, depends almost entirely on tuition. Tuition for all grades at BCDS for the 2008-2009 academic year is $31,450. This figure, together with the $1,000 enrollment deposit, covers nearly all expenses except tuition refund insurance (1.1% of tuition). Tuition includes lunch and all required school trips, but not books or personal school store charges.
Payment plans through Tuition Management Systems or TuitionPay from Sallie Mae (formerly Academic Mangement Services) are available. These plans allow families to pay for tuition over a ten-month period from May through February.
If a family does not choose a payment plan, payments are due to the school in three installments: May 1st (25%), July 1st (35%) and January 1st (40%).
