Athletic Facilities
Athletic facilities at BCDS provide sports teams with venues for practice, competition, and training. The school’s 17-acre campus includes several acres of playing fields for soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and softball.

New Athletic Center Built, Opens in September 2007!

To better accommodate the needs of a growing student body, BCDS broke ground on a new athletic center in September 2006. Construction was complete in July 2007. In September 2007 it will open for use.

The new 24,700 s.f. building is an addition onto the existing gym (constructed in 1994) that more than doubles the school's indoor athletic space (bringing the total to 39,000 s.f.). In addition to two additional basketball courts, the new buiding significantly expands the locker rooms (providing separate middle and upper school locker rooms, as well as rooms for visiting teams), provides office space for the athletic director, coaches, and the trainer, and adds a fully-equipped fitness center for weight training and physical re-hab. More details and photos of the construction process may be seen at New Athletic Center.

Almost all home games and practices take place on Beaver's campus. The golf team practices and plays its home matches at the Putterham Meadows public course in Brookline. The tennis teams play on the nearby courts at Pine Manor College and Mount Ida College.
