Summer Positions
We are currently hiring for the summer of 2008. Our seasonal, summer positions fall into the following categories:

Leadership Staff
Leadership staff are seasoned education professionals who manage and supervise specific areas of camp. In this role, they are responsible for keeping their respective staff well informed of issues and concerns, for providing support and advice, and for managing parent communication.

Head Counselors
Head Counselors are primarily responsible for the management of a single group of campers in a specific age group, leading them through their daily activities. Head Counselors must have a college degree and possess exceptional experience in managing groups of children. They are also responsible for supporting specialists and supervising their general counselors. A head counselor, like a classroom teacher, develops an extremely close bond with his or her group of campers.

General Counselors
General Counselors assist Head Counselors by providing a specific group of campers with physical and emotional safety, enjoyment, and an overall positive camp experience. General counselors also are expected to assist specialists in the full range of camp activities. Each day offers many opportunities for responsibility and leadership. General Counselors must be at least 16 years old.

Activity Specialists
Specialists are individuals who shine in a specific activity area and have experience teaching their craft. Current camp activities include: archery, tennis, sports, art, woodworking, drama, movement, video, computers, photography, chess, ropes course, karate, music, and nature. Specialists are responsible for creating and leading activities that engage campers in their particular activity. Specialists are typically hired to work with either the 3 to 5 year old or 6 to 12 year old age ranges.

Aquatics Staff
Aquatics staff are certified lifeguards and water safety instructors. The aquatics staff is responsible for leading swimming instruction as well as making sure the pools are kept safe for all campers. Aquatics staff must be at least 18 years of age and possess current LGT and CPR certifications.

Off Campus Specialists
Off Campus Specialists are individuals who possess a love for children and exploring new and exciting places. Our off-campus programs give staff an opportunity to work with a small group of older campers in a new setting each day. Some of these programs include overnight trips and all require a valid driver's license.
